Tintin often wears a trench coat, showing he comes form a country with a fair amount of rain. His beige coat, as well as his blue pullover and his plus fours, are part of his instantly recognisable style. Just like his quiff, his clothes constitute distinctive signifiers of his character.

Tin Tin official figurine Haddock hits the road |
Equipped from head to toe, Captain Haddock is fully prepared to undertake a new adventure. A sailor without a ship, an old seadog without a crew, Tintin's best friend sets off on board a splendid seaplane that he takes towards South America. He is raring to go and dressed like a man who prefers the sea spray and foamy waves to flying over clouds.

Tin Tin official figurine Snowy with his bone |
Snowy has always been at Tintin;s side, being born the same day as his master (10th January 1929 Le Petit Vingtième). A wirehead fox terrier, Snowy is completely white. According to the experts this is very rare, since most fox terriers have a black, brown, or reddish patch. Snowy's French name comes from the first name of Hergé's first girl friend, Marie-Louise, who was known as Milou.
