Tintin in the Orient

 The 24 November 1932 edition of Le Petit Vingtième contained an interview with Tintin where he announced his future plans for a voyage. Tintin would be travelling to China via Egypt, India, Ceylon, and Indochina.

In the following edition a map was published showing Tintin's proposed journey which would culminate in Shanghai.

The serialisation of Tintin's adventures was published as The adventures of Tintin Reporter in the Orient, initially  in the Middle East, and Tintin in the Extreme-Orient, which centres on China.

A limited edition of 1,000 copies of the map was produced by the Hergé Foundation and published in 1992.
